Temptation
The most forbidden and forsaking things always are the most impossible things to resist. So far yet so close. Running away by moving even closer. Hating by loving even more. What the head says "No" to, the heart always say the other. And they say forbidden fruit always taste better afterall... right?
Tips of the day: How to Channel Anger towards Something Positive
VS
Every day in our life, we are surrounded by so many human beings. Let it be your family members, friends, colleagues, acquaintances or even strangers. Some people are happy go lucky sunshine lalalalalala type. These people spread good vibes around and they are contagious and fun to be with really. Unfortunately, some human in this world inherit "mak singa" or crazy pig (direct translation for "gila babi") personality traits. These people usually run amok, blabbing non-stop and do nothing else but finding ways to make the life of others in misery 24/7.
And of course, it takes certain extend of patient to deal with this kind of human beings. But fret not my friends I have special tips when dealing with this kind of personality traits.
1.Play Dumb
Have you ever heard the concept of ignorance is bliss? Play dumb or in Malay, we called it "buat muka bodoh." The dumber you look, the better the outcome will be. An angry person sees no point of getting mad to someone dumb. In fact, they are wasting their time going all nuts to someone dumb. To scold you once, fine. To scold you twice, tension. To scold you for the third time? Muahahaha *evil laughter* they will go crazy after that! People always say beauties get away with a lot of things in life so does dumb people ya :)
2.Selective Hearing
Selective hearing means you just pick up certain words when you hear someone angry is speaking. In fact, you can create a game out of that for example, pick up only funny words and then try to mix and match those words to become a sentence. Here's few examples of standard scolding sentences:
"Don't expect me to even trust you nowadays."
"Why you are so stubborn? You don't listen to me anymore."
"I don't give a rat's ass what you are thinking."
"What? What? What? You think I'm stupid is it?"
"All you are to me is a big liar!"
Keywords: don't, expect, stubborn, ass, stupid & big
The sentence: Don't be stubborn. Expect big-ass stupid! :)
3.Walk Away
Walk away and ignore them completely. Ignoring an angry person is like slapping them right on the face: they either dumbstruck by your action or they will get even madder. Either way, it's worth trying because you'll never know if you don't try. If you see them getting even madder, just walk back aje la bukan susah pun :)
4.Mantra
If everything else doesn't work out... just repeat a mantra in your head until that person finished up with her/his madness. Choose your mantra wisely. My mantra would be, "he/she is a bongong. Bongong! Bongong! Bongong! I don't waste my time fighting with a bongong!"
Whatever it is, don't entertain an angry person. If you entertain or let them win once, they will expect you to entertain and to let them win more in the future.
Blair: Chuck, NYU doesn't care that I'm Blair Waldorf! It's over. Chuck: How can you do this to me? Blair: What are you talking about? Chuck: I'm Chuck Bass. And I told you I love you. You're saying I'm easier to win over than a bunch of pseudo-intellectual homesick malcontents. You really insult me like that? Blair: That's not how it is. Chuck: It's exactly how it is. The next time you forget you're Blair Waldorf, remember I'm Chuck Bass. And I love you.
..
Blair: I want you to have this. Chuck: Why? Blair: Because I love you. You enormously stubborn pain in the ass.
..
Chuck: I was a coward running away again. But everywhere I went, you caught up with me. So I had to come back. Blair: I want to believe you, but I can't. You've hurt me too many times. Chuck: Then believe me this time. Blair: That's it? Chuck: [pauses] I love you, too. Blair: Can you say it twice? (laughs) No, I'm serious, say it twice. Chuck: I love you, I love you, I love you!
"I told myself I won't miss you, But I remember... What it feels like beside you. I really miss your hair in my face And the way innocence tastes... . . . And I can't pretend... I won't think about you when I'm older Cause we never really had our closure..."
There will be events after events all over Malaysia for entrepreneurs from every industry that you could think off. From workshops, seminars, site visits, open houses, ideas pitchings, sale expos, case study presentations, business meetings, conferences, business rehabilitations, business lunches, formal dinners, cocktails and many more. Every.single.thing.that.you.could.think.off are basically there in the calendar! Some events are paid, some are free.
However, I personally think that the biggest event so far is the YES 2009 Summit. Names like Sir Bob Geldof, Nando Parado, Dr. Mamphela Ramphele, Randi Zuckerberg, Dato' Seri Tony Fernandes, Amitabh Bachchan, Biz Stone, Garry Kasparov and many more will be here in Malaysia. The tickets are USD 450, USD 660 and USD 960. I'm trying to find ways for a free ticket.. Do you think it's possible?
GEW is the right time to network for entrepreneurs in Malaysia! From the new start-ups to billionnaires.
As for Miss S, it's time to meet up old friends, get to know new friends and maybe have a chat or two with great business figures. Trust me, the best way to get people to talk about your business is by talking to them... in the most memorable way possible (of course!). Bring out the integrity, charming and witty side of you! It's time for a social butterfly to soar :)
Take out your business cards. Bring out your best professional look. Get ready to mix, mingle and giggle!
