- OK I have not updated my blog for so long. Busy! Busy! Busy! Basically this month, every Friday is public holidays in which means I have to finish up my office work in shorter time so that I will have a good long weekends every.single.week. Last 2 weeks was Sultan's Selangor birthday. Last week, it was Awal Muharam holiday. This week, Christmas is fall on Friday as well and next week is New Year. Cuti tiap2 hari Jumaat memang amat hebat because weekends menjadi amat panjang... weekends yang panjang bermaksud, I boleh la menjadi pemalas sambil menternak badan. See... long weekends adalah amat best!

- I went to Durra's wedding in Pendang, Kedah few days ago. Do note that Pendang is spelled with "N" in the middle ya! The theme colors are pink and white and darn gorgeous! Me, Syu and Noreen ate 3 times... yes memang berperangai amat tak malu di rumah kenduri nampaknya! I put the blame on a condition that I called, "low-to-none-resistant to good foods"... yummy!

- I officially HATE FaceBook. I used to be addicted to FaceBook due to few games namely Drug Tycoon, Bejeweled and Farmville. Seriously, if it's not because of work, I would have deleted my account already. I hate FaceBook stalkers... get a life people!

- This year I'm going to list down my new years' resolutions for both Tahun Baru Islam and Tahun Baru Kafir (read: Gregorian Calendar) sekali harung... I haven't finalized my resolutions for this year yet but I am proud that somehow I managed to achieved last year's resolutions *nose up sambil tepuk2 bahu sendiri!*

- Oh yes, why people likes to butt in other people's life? So what if Zizie Ezette is married to Dato' Bung Mokhtar Radin? Let them be laaa... He is ia Muslim man and he is allowed to have more than 1 wives. She is a single girl and I do think Zizie is a decent person. I mean, let's face it... you rather have Zizie as madu than Fasha Sanda right? Apparently, I am annoyed that newspapers have been highlighting on this issue for days... *annoyed mood*

Tips Naik Angin

There are few stages of pissing off...

- Day one: be damn pissed off. You could be like Asmida of Ali Setan if you wished *wink2*. Drew the ugliest monkey faces! Pages and pages of it on papers and do stab, tear or even add details such as Nazi moustache to it according to your creativity. Dramatic audio such as yelling and saying �celaka�, �beruk�, �anak setan, jin bertendang� etc is a MUST!

- Then you will calm down a bit and start to feel upset and you spent your day (the next day) thinking and crying a bit.

- By night time, it hits you that crying is stupid and you decided to cheer yourself up by hitting every club in town. Clubs work just fine in your teenage years... trust me, it still works up till now. How long the club phase will last? It depends on the individual. Some may take few days, some may take weeks and some may skip the club phase altogether! Just go to the club during week days or weekends � belasah aje la sesuka hati :) imagine the pain of going to work with 2 hours of sleep *huarrrggghhhh*

-Depending on the cause that made you pissed off, the next good step is to fill in your�.. jeng jeng jeng��.*hold on*�� YOUR BRAIN with input (or lack of it) that might help or make you wiser or things that might take away certain quantity of that anger. I know most people will feel up their calendar with activities. Some might indulge in foods or anything that will stop the brain from working. Whatever you do, be creative!

- I�d say� replacing someone they love with few one-night-stands and an easy-access slut can be count as stupid. Yes?

- To lie and to get caught is also fucking stupid!

- To say regret but make it sounds like bragging as if there�s no regret is also stupid!

- And HELL NO� the usage of words such as �she�s not attractive�, �empty as a person�, �can�t carry reputable image� and �as lame as a stool� or anything equivalent don�t count as good explanations or make it less hurtful or worst� still hope to get some sort of forgiveness! Duh?

- FYI: �I still sayang you so much�, �dear Lord, my heart bleeds�, �I�m struggling baby�, �I don�t want to hurt you� or anything around that sentences don�t justify the actions in whatsoever manners as well!

If you don�t want to hurt, then don�t hurt. If your heart bleeds, mend it. And yes, fucking around is not a sign of struggling at all!!!

Here's my lazy rojak and pictures entry. Oppsss before I forgot, I copied pasted the sentence below from my primary school friend in FB. Here's something interesting:

"KUALA LUMPUR 30 Nov. - Gempa bumi lemah berukuran 3.3 pada skala Richter berlaku di Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan awal pagi ini. Menurut kenyataan Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia di sini hari ini, gempa bumi itu berlaku pada pukul 12.15 pagi dan berpusat di 22 kilometer timur Seremban. Bagaimanapun tiada gegaran dirasai akibat gempa bumi itu, menurut kenyataan itu. - Bernama."

OMG! Kampung I gempa bumi?

But then again, if my mum tak huru-hara and calling me, I guess it really is a weak (read: wayyy too mild) earth quake. Here's one fact, in Kuala Pilah, there is this one gunung berapi pendam namely Gunung Angsi... and hopefully, it's nothing like or pointing towards 2012. *pray2*

Here's some pictures from MalaysiaKini dinner. I was one of the family members in MalaysiaKini... but not directly under MalaysiaKini because technically I was working with Sean for SouthEast Asia Centre For eMedia (SEACeM). But then, SEACeM is one of the initiatives started by MalaysiaKini. So, it's like adik-beradik but not really adik-beradik. Get it? I worked there for few months when I was pokai while working with MCA ICT Resource Centre. I know that it sounds so rebellious that mentang2 gaji from MCA lambat, then penuh perasaan join MalaysiaKini kan? Trust me, it is nothing as such.

Look what I found under my seat!!! Everyone got one. One of our kind sponsors is Tune Hotels. I got Penang, but some people got KK, Kuching, Bali etc.

The only picture from the night that gives me heartache really. This picture doesn't do any justice to me in whatsoever manner because I look damn fat! I am 42 kgs and I looked like as if I was carrying a freaking 55 kgs of weight... amat tak adil really! This is my picture with Prem, the CEO and founder of MalaysiaKini and most importantly, he is the kind man who offered me the job there.

Me and Sean, the managing director of SEACeM. I was reporting to him previously.

The gift of the night, a traditional Malay herb namely Misai Kucing. Words have it that this gift carries a symbolic meaning for MalaysiaKini. Like a fragile herb, journalism and new media need to be nurtured and watered everyday in order for it to grow. So, everyone must bring it home that night and taking care of it. But then again, I guess the misai kucing is not meant for me (but I do hope journalism and media industry are meant for me though...) Somehow I left mine on the table and when I came back to collect it, it's gone. Afterwards, I ran into one of the EcoWarrior's lady who prepared the gifts and she gave me 2 pots of that herbs. The herbs that she gave me were in good size because let's face it... I can't take care of anything that is too fragile i.e. my gold fishes, my cat and myself. But heck... I freaking left it again on another table *dush2*. Haiyoh... this Sarimah dah la fragile, pelupa as well!!!

Upin nanti dah besar nak jadi apa?

7 years old:

My class teacher, Puan Zuraidah asked me about my ambition. I was young and I had little to non-existence exposure to fancy careers. I remember saying I wanted to be a teacher. In fact, pretty much everyone gave the same answers - teacher, policeman/policewoman, doctor, nurse and even postman. Very very cute! Nowadays, I still think I could be a teacher. I have 3 little sisters, 2 nieces and a nephew. Once in a while when they were little, I did teach them things and I'm pretty much a good teacher. :)

12 years old:

It was pretty much crunch time for standard 6, government school students. At that time, we had in mind that UPSR was the biggest, most important exam that will determine our future. If you don't get good grades for UPSR, you pretty much will ended up in lousy class in high-school or you can't go to boarding school or worst, you will have to scrub toilet for a living :( As part of the motivation, my class teacher at that time, Puan Zaitun asked us to keep and focus on our study. In order to do so, we must remind ourselves time and time again about our ambitions and how close we were moving towards achieving that. She asked me what my ambition was. Since I watched pretty much a lot of TV, I had in mind that traveling and eating were the best way to live a life and might as well earn a living from that! So I said, I wanted to be stewardess or "tukang rasa makanan sedunia"! She scolded me. I remember her saying that I don't need a degree if I only wanted to be a stewardess. I just need to be a brainless and soul-less beauty. She also said that there was no such job namely "tukang rasa makanan sedunia". At 27, I agree with her opinion about a stewardess. However, I found out that actually there is such a job which a naive child would call as "tukang rasa makanan sedunia" aka "food critic"as what we called it today. I don't think I am such a sophisticated person when I was young to know a word like "critic" ok. That time I thought "condom" is a short name for "condominum"... so go figure how not-sophisticated I was!

15 years old:

Teachers pretty much stopped asking their students about their ambitions. But then again, learning Science in school puts better options on the table, doesn't it? So, at that time, I studied so hard so that I could go to boarding school and pursued my dream of becoming a chemical engineer. I wanted to be in science stream and go to boarding school badly. In the end, I did get good results for my PMR, went to boarding school and changed my ambition to be an accountant instead because I found out that an accountant makes more money than a chemical engineer is. So there I was, in boarding school taking accounting class and I got A1 for accounting. I am pretty sure I still could read any financial statements easily... even now.

17 years old:

I got an offer to study abroad under government scholarship. Damn! I felt like I owned the world at that time. The sleepless night of studying, the non-stop extracurricular activities and tuitions all worth it at last! Every tears and sweats paid off!!! Too bad, USA is not a good place for accounting course. The best universities offer business, engineering or international relation courses. So, during prep time, I decided to take business course because (and again..), I have in mind that an engineer doesn't make much money (unless of course he/she turns out to be a businessman/woman!) later in life. Other than that, science doesn't fancy me anymore. Physics and chemistry could only entertain me to a certain extent, while biology on the other hand kills me like nothing else!

University years:

I was lacking of freedom when I was at home or boarding school... but university years = Marketing rocks! Business school rocks! Life rocks even harder!!! I came back from USA at the tender age of 23 and feeling like giving Malaysia the best of myself. You could be a millionnaire working overseas, but my heart is in Malaysia. You could go overseas anytime you want with passport anyways :) Not a big deal really! I pretty much made up my mind that I want to do marketing! Nowadays, I think I am blood in, blood out a marketer!

Working years:

People said your first job would pretty much dictate your path for years to come. But then again, my first job was too brief. Hospitality industry is hostile! Then, I moved on to another job. First year, seemed awesome and positive. Then, after that everything was not going so well. Disappointment happened from time to time. However, I make good friends here and there, exposed to a lot of people and things I never heard off. Since, I am "celoteh" and fun in nature... and (I guess) I am smart too, I continuously make more friends. Sometimes, all these friends offer me opportunities that I could say no to. Some of them turns out to be close friends to me even now. All is good actually :)

As for today? I want to be a marketer, a writer, a politician, a HOT wife for someone, a sassy mum for few kids and the latest one: a lobbyist! Yerp, I want to be the influence behind the ones in power! That is an awesome job isn't it? And now, how the heck should I work my way up to be a witty lobbyist??? *blank2*

p/s: Tony Fernandez once said (and he said it few times more in every lectures he gave *wink2*) that everyone in this world should "dare to dream!" He is indeed right! You never know how far you could realize your dreams and push your luck unless you dare to dream. And if you want to dream, please dream big so that you don't fall that far behind. Don't let people stop you or even think they could stop you because in the world where freedom exists, there is no such thing as impossible. And as being said before, there are 4 things in life people should not take away from others - Freedom, Happiness, Love & Belief.

Snowball Effect

I am officially working for SkyAd for 3 months by the end of this month. My� my� my� we are moving so fast!

First month is all about securing the publishers and polishing our technology in order to make it user friendly. So first month is about meeting� meeting� meeting� and testing� testing� testing� We already met all the major publishers and media in Malaysia and secured at least 6 of them and already got positive responses and upcoming projects with few more.

Second month is all about awareness campaigns where we had our first exhibition and talk about SkyAd day and night to everyone :) (Mulut sungguh penat ok!) Nowadays, the numbers of calls, enquiries and the numbers of advertisers coming in are steadily increasing. Our FB group nearly reached 280 fans in 1 month! Not bad eh?

Now on the third month, we already set our affiliate program and of course more advertisers and publishers coming in. We will have our first workshop tomorrow and believe it or not, from 50 registrations I have to increase it 70 and now I officially have to close the registration. And we did the marketing for this workshop just 2 weeks ago :) Amat laku seperti pisang goreng panas!

Nowadays, I am pretty much a BlackBerry-holic. It�s easier with BB because I can answer simple enquiries on the go. But then again, emails with attachment, confirmation, agreement and whatever still have to wait for me to access laptop.

I have a good bet for a snowball effect to take place after tomorrow. Tomorrow, the media partner that will join us is MalaysiaKini. I�m planning to bring in another major media partner for next month events :)

p/s: I think I am in love with my new job considering I don�t mind to be bothered at 3 am in the morning and weekends. But then again, maybe I am excited about my new job because it offers different challenges altogether! The best of test for my marketing skills really!
